Can I sell a damaged phone/device?

Yes, we buy all phones; they are classed as either working or faulty/damaged phones. You can check the handset criteria in our terms and conditions to determine whether it is working or non-working.

My phone has a cracked screen but still works. Is it categorised as a working phone?

No, a phone with a cracked screen will be classed as a faulty/damaged phone. You can check the handset criteria in our terms and conditions for more information.

What if I don't know the model of my phone/device?

If you do not know the model or your phone or tablet, either check the back under the battery, or simply type your IMEI number in the search box.

My phone has a flat battery, is it still classed as working?

If you know the phone works, perhaps with another battery, then yes, you can sell it to us as working.

Do you accept fake phones?

We do not accept any phones that are not original or have fake components in them.

Can I sell a stolen phone?

No, we do not accept phones that are stolen. We check every phone against the CheckMEND database which shows any phone that has been registered stolen, lost or blacklisted. For more information, please see our terms and conditions.

I can't decide whether my phone/device is classed as working or faulty/damaged. What should I do?

You can check the handset criteria stated in our terms and conditions. If you are still unsure, class it as working, we will alter this if necessary when we test it. However, if altered the price you have been quoted will also be amended.

My phone/device is locked on a network. Can I still sell it?

Yes, we accept phones that are locked on a UK network. We do not accept phones locked on a foreign network.

Do I have to send the battery of my phone/device?

You must send the battery and make sure it is placed within the phone/device when posting.

Will I get paid more if I send the charger, original box and/or other accessories?

Although we accept these items, you do not need to send anything except the phone/device and its battery. You will not be paid a higher value if you send any of these items and we may not be able to return them.

What is iOS7/Activation lock?

Activation lock is a security feature in Apple devices that run iOS 7 or later softwares, found within Find My Phone that locks your phone/device to your iCloud account. You must remove your iCloud account from the device before sending it to us. Details on how to do this can be found in the information booklet within the sales pack you receive from us.

Do I need to remove my iCloud, Samsung or Google account?

Yes, we require you to remove your iCloud account before sending us your device as we will be unable to access it or resell it. You must also remove any Samsung or Google Accounts. Details on how to do this can be found in the information booklet within the sales pack you receive from us.

My phone is broken, I cannot access it. How can I remove my iCloud account?

If you cannot access your phone/device, you can remove activation lock/iCloud account via the iCloud website as follows:

  1. Switch off your device
  2. Log in to www.icloud.com with your Apple ID and password
  3. Click Find iPhone and select the iPhone you would like to remove from All Devices
  4. Click the X to remove and then select Remove to confirm

Do I have to delete all the data on my phone?

Yes, you must remove all personal files such as messages, images, emails, songs etc. before sending your device to us. You can do this by using the factory data reset option in your option. Any device received by us containing data will be wiped.

Do I have to remove my SIM and memory card?

Yes, you must remove both the SIM and memory cards before sending us your device. If we receive a phone with a SIM or memory card, they will be destroyed and will not be returned.
